Start your spring off right by joining friends and colleagues for a thought-provoking and fun-filled afternoon at the Minnesota Association of Rehabilitation Providers (MARP) Annual Spring Conference on May 7.

This year we’ve changed up the format. The day will start with educational sessions worth 4.0 approved ethics CEUs on topics that impact your practice, followed by a discussion on impending regulatory changes and how the 2018 election could affect the future of vocational rehabilitation. We’ll close the day with a happy hour and a special appearance by renowned playwright and storyteller Kevin Kling.

Here’s a preview of the day’s activities:

• Legislative and Regulatory Update. MARP Legislative Chair Steve Hollander and Lobbyist Elizabeth Wefel will provide an overview of proposed changes to the rules governing vocational rehabilitation and seek your input. They will also discuss the impact that the election could have on the future of the vocational rehabilitation profession.
• Presenters Workshop.  You can earn continuing education credits, including 4.0 ethics CEUs. Presenters include Dr. Jody Janati, Got Conflict? Find Your "Conversation Peace" learn assertive communication as a Fair and Reasonable Response and 101 things to say and do during difficult conversations. Following, Dr. Josephine Chung will present on mindfulness and resiliency. 
• Educational Opportunities with Vendors. Learn about services and products that can improve your vocational rehabilitation practice.
• Happy Hour and Kevin Kling.  Close out the afternoon by meeting new colleagues and reconnecting with old friends at a happy hour, and stick around to listen to playwright and storyteller Kevin Kling. Happy hour will include a FREE drink ticket and appetizers from Blue Door Pub!
