Job Duties:
|
This position exists to carry out the monitoring, quality assurance and administration of the Qualified Rehabilitation Consultant (QRC) registrations. Job duties include: Register Qualified Rehabilitation Consultants (QRCs), QRC Interns, QRC Firms and Rehabilitation Vendors in accordance with statute and rules. Review and analyze workers' compensation cases for compliance with the governing workers' compensation statutes, rules of practice, case law and department/division policies and take action when necessary to ensure that proper rehabilitation benefits are provided by qualified providers to eligible claimants in a timely matter. Conduct reviews of rehabilitation providers/ case management and procedures in an effort to identify compliance issues, resolve disputes, and provide suggestions on ways of improving business processes. Coordinate the technical assistance for the Workers’ Compensation training and outreach team.
Provide training and/or make presentations to individuals or groups regarding the Minnesota workers’ compensation system.

Minimum Qualifications:
|
Two years of advanced administrative support, paraprofessional, professional or technical experience which demonstrates:
*Knowledge of Workers Compensation statutes, regulations, requirements, and work processes sufficient to read, interpret, and apply compliance provisions of the program, and recommend changes for continuous improvement.
*Knowledge of specific program regulations/requirements sufficient to determine compliance with reporting provisions of Minnesota Statutes and Rules as they relate to the forms required by law.
*Knowledge of medical terminology, conditions, treatment methods and treatment parameters sufficient to evaluate reports.
*Analysis skills--sufficient to evaluate submitted program documentation to make a determination of qualification for QRC registration.
*Qualitative and quantitative skills--sufficient to collect and analyze program related data.
*Negotiation skills--sufficient to resolve disputed issues.
*Computer skills--sufficient to create and manipulate documents in word processing (Microsoft Word), spreadsheets (Microsoft Excel), and databases (Informix).
